Gallery On July 3rd. 2007 the site of the new Federal Police Offices in Kopernikusstrasse 1b in Rostock was crowned with the traditional wreath for the topping-out ceremony. To mark the occasion, BBL M-V celebrated the successful completion of this substantial part of the complex in time honoured tradition and in the presence of dignitaries and contributors to the project.

Gallery The dignitaries included: representatives from the Federal Ministry for Building, the Minister for Traffic, Construction and State Development in Mecklenburg West Pomerania, Mr. Dr. Otto Ebnet, the Senator for Construction in the Hanseatic City of Rostock, Mr. Peter Grüttner, the Chief Government Official Hans-Günter Siewerin from the Federal Police Headquarters North, the Federal Office for Real Estate Matters, and from the THW, the Emergency Response Services.

Since commencement of construction in December 2005, the appearance of the site has changed for all citizens of Rostock to see. Facing Kopernikusstrasse, and at a right angle to the existing administration building, a new four-storey building is taking shape, which will dominate the appearance to this address for years to come.

Garages are being restored for the Federal Police and garages and a workshop are being newly built for the Emergency Response Services, immediately behind the new building on this property measuring 2,3 ha.

Work shall be completed in the third quarter of 2008, allowing the Federal Police and the Emergency Response Services to take over the new premises. BBL M-V is pleased to note, that this project too, saw and will see predominantly local and regional enterprises able to show their skills.
